Another Phenomenal Fight.

So much for GSP/Koscheck, the real fight this Saturday was Amir Khan Vs. Marcos Maidana. A sure fight of the year candidate simply for its sheer round after round excitement. Everything was seen in this fight from knockdowns to points taken away, to brutal exchanges, hailmakers, survival of rounds, crowd chantings; had me saying "goddamn!" "fucken shit!" and the occasional "son of a bitch!" What a fight, cant wait for either of these fighters to fight again.!

The next big thing..

Saul Alvarez known as "Canelo" is just 20 years old, yet he punches like hes 27 and in his prime. He displayed a more figural skill that is rapidly progressing and getting sharper. He followed that with faster hands, faster head movement and powerful combinations worth paying to see. Im excited for Canelo and his future and is one of my most favored fighters to watch. Keep and eye out for this mugg.

Dodger update..

For those who dont know, we have acquired Juan Uribe from the World Champion Giants (hats off well deserving.) Dont fully agree with the 3yr. deal, would have been a better more logical signing had it been a 1yr or 2yr at most, for Uribe is in his latter stages of his career. But thats beyond the point.



We've gotten rid of Ryan Theriot, Scott Posednik, and from the looks of it, Russel Martin; hes still on the team yet has lost his starting role to the more suitable and more productive Rod Barajas. (thank the heavens.) We've resigned Kuroda (kudos) and resigned Garland (kudos). And as for George Sherrill, lo mandamos a la verga.. (KUDOS).

Marquez Outduels Katsidis!

Rounds 1 and 2 were simply a showcase of pinpoint accuracy that Marquez had to offer. Imposing his will on Katisidis every step of the way and engaging in brutal combination battles with him. Yet in the third round all seemed to even out when Katisids landed a dynamite punch of his own.. a left hook to the chin of marquez (now becoming his obvious achillies heel) which brought him down to the canvas. After the follwed 8 count, Katisids smelled redemption and began engaging in even stronger more brutal exchanges with the WBO, WBC champ. However, as the old story goes, beware of the patience of a patient man, Marquez only seemed to grow and become more wreckless after that knock out, nearly evening the round. The rest of the fight was like that a scripted movie, yet far more intriguing, far more more exciting, and far more jaw dropping. Katisidis battled with as a big a heart as you've ever seen him, but Marquez battled with as big a purpose as ever; wanting that elusive third fight with Manny Paquiao. Throwing left hook after right hook, left uppercut after right uppercut, jab after jab, Marquez did it all. When the 9th round came and after Marquez began disinigrating Katsidis with obvious command and power punching, Kenny Bahlies stepped in and called a halt to the bout. An exciting display of heart, pride and willingness, this fight has to be fight of the year without doubt; like i called it to be. Marquez remains my favorite fighter of all time of my generation.

Marquez Vs. Katsidis this Saturday!

This fight has fight of the year written all over it.. Marquez being explosive with his combinations and speed, and Katisidis being quick with power to his liking. Marquez being one my favorite boxers of all time, will certainly be getting my vote to win. Tough fight. Fireworks expected. Watch it!

Valimos Madre..

Im not about ready yet to jump the bandwagon, but Pacquiao is simply the shit. For someone to do what hes doing is.. fuken insane, I give him all the props in the world. As for margarito, puta madre.. like he said. Great fight nonetheless, im looking forward to Paquiaos next fight.

Last Night's Marquez v Lopez fight was just what I expected and anticipated. Knowing that Marquez is a warrior and Juanma is out trying to prove himself, I had no doubt that this fight would bring fireworks, and it did. Great exchanges between both fighters, who both had the chance to finish each other off in the early rounds [had me losing my voice from the punches and combinations both fighters gave out] But in the end Juanma proved to be the more younger, stronger and more powerful of the two. Marquez put up a valiant effort but couldn't make it to the 9th round due to a shoulder injury, giving Juan Manuel Lopez a TKO win. Juanma showed an exceptional chin, taking Marquez's shots and countering with some ferocious shots of his own. He also surprisingly out 'combo'd' the future hall of fame Marquez. Juanma has set his place in the forefront of the division and now possibly sets up another anticipated fight with up and comer Yoriorkis Gamboa, my goodness. Great fight and possible 'Fight of the Year' candidate.
